The winter jacket for every weather condition, this is a versatile piece of Equipment conceived for the Globetrotter. Rather than being race oriented, it offers unrestrained functionality. Not the traditional soft shell jacket commonly used in winter, rather a tool that integrates the protection of a body mapping shell and insulation properties into a single design - combining waterproof protection and thermal insulation through a ‘sandwich’ construction. The extraordinary result is a deep-winter jacket with the futuristic weight of only 280 g (size S)!
RSR body mapping
Garments constructed with RSR (Regional Sweat Rate) body mapping will be breathable in differing degrees throughout the garment according to scientific research data collected regarding the various regional sweat rates of the athlete’s body.
This more strategic use of breathable panels and varying densities allows for the construction of the lowest volume garment as well as the most stable body temperature during activity.
UF WATERPROOF & UF AIR INSULATION
The outer shell has a body mapping construction that combines a proprietary three layer waterproof fabric, the UF 75Shell (75g/m2 and 15 denier) with a durable water repellent treatment.
The inner layer is made with a new version of the UF Air Insulation, the knitted jacquard brushed fabric is now a blend of micropolyester that increases the thermal insulation. It creates an layer of warm air next to the skin, allowing for a high absorption/emission rate of moisture before it has time to change into sweat caused by condensation.
HERMETIC COLLAR SYSTEM
A second collar found on the internal side of the first collar. This second collar is a soft and elastic fleece cut to easily rest directly against the neck much like the elasticated tape used underneath a cape by barbers.
This second internal collar hermetically seals the body from cold air which can often enter from the rear part of the neck during activity, offering superior protection to that provided by the traditional single collar found on other cycling jackets.
